Their Majesties King Constantine and Queen Anne-Marie attended the funeral today of Juan Antonio Samaranch, former President of the International Olympic Committee and one of it's most influential figures, which took place in Barcelona, Spain.

The former IOC President has been credited with leading the Olympic Games through challenging times and modernising this pinnacle of sport events. A devout advocate of the values of Olympism and the Olympic Spirit he invited women to take principal roles within the IOC and created the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
