The 'Black Goat' Sailing Competition
12 June 2006
Category: News

The annual competition, which consists of a round-trip to Faliro via Aigina and Poros, was established in memory of Dionusios Melanegidos (black goat).

For decades, His Majesty's dedication to sailing has been manifested through his involvement in the International Sailing Federation; however, after returning to Greece, the former King often joins former co-athletes in regattas. In the specific race, King Constantine led an eight-member crew on Mr Giorgos Andreadis' boat.
